Baby Ballet (for dancers aged 2 - 4.5) at Counterpointe teaches the fundamental techniques and concepts of classical ballet to young dancers in an engaging, creative and fun package!

With this strong foundation dancers are set up and prepared to enter Royal Academy of Dance syllabus classes when they begin primary schooling.

All classes at Counterpointe are taught by Royal Academy of Dance registered and qualified teachers, and accompanied by live piano music provided by an approved Royal Academy of Dance examination pianist. We are the only school in New Zealand offering our classes in this format.

Dancers have the opportunity to experience their first ‘exam’ style experience with the RAD Dance to your Own Tune, demonstration classes. This involves a short performance class lead by their regular teacher, each dancer then receives a certificate of participation as a mark of their personal achievement from the visiting RAD examiner. Families are invited to watch this class.
